maybe it’s just me. it’s the pale blue (‘This is You’ box) that’s nearly identical to the top band of the 2.4 dashboard.

I don't think it really looks like the MT4 dashboard. I'd never seen it before I checked out a screenshot of it a few seconds ago. Also, I'm not really seeing the color similarity you mentioned other than the fact that both of them use orange.

design in an open source code workflow seems to always go badly because of the way it has to be introduced. I think Chris is pretty much right. Watching the oxygen icons project try to dual license, and keep things under wraps until they're absolutely ready has been frustrating, and it was horrible to watch wordpress.com rip the Drupal 5 theme before it was in production, because of the necessity of the GPL license, even on a development branch.

oh, and what it looks like? like the MT4 dashboard. the colors are a hair's breadth from eachother. (7 degrees, photoshop tells me)
